Dennis Prager: What a condescending ass-clown
Published by Mike Stark February 13th, 2006 in Podcast, Dennis PragerNot sure how many of you have heard this great moralizer… His voice is soooo smooth and creamy… And he is so “above the fray” of partisan politics…
But, like all the others, Dems are bad, Republicans good… Dems have no moral compass. Liberals are morally bankrupt.
My first call to Dennis happened over the Fourth of July weekend. He was on my local talker, WROW, talking about how Democrats were evil incarnate… I called him up and asked him if he could not find a better topic - since America was basically divided 50/50 between Democrats and Republicans, would it not be a better use of his time, on the Fourth of July, no less, to talk about what makes America Great instead of resorting to the same old crap about conservative good, liberal bad?
He hung up on me.
Well, today, I found his show on the internet. For about the 15th day in a row, conservative talk radio is spouting off about the cartoons that offend Muslims. I will pick up the story and provide a post-logue in the comments.

So he wanted to know why Fox aired the cartoons, while the NYTimes and the rest of the American liberal media would not. I had a simple answer for them: conservatives are great at starting fights they don’t have to fight in. Dick Cheney, George Bush, Karl Rove, Bill Bennett, John Ashcroft, Newt Gingrich, Trent Lott, Bill Frist, Tom Delay, Rush Limbaugh… each one of them found something better to do than fight their generation’s war…
So the cowards aren’t the people that won’t publish the cartoons, the cowards are those that will publish them, but won’t take up arms to defend their own positions… instead, they ask others to do the dirty, dangerous work.
So what did Mr. Prager come up with? Oh, that old stand by… the Abu Grahb pictures… they were the real culprits - publishing those pictures is what made the Muslims angry at us. Not the behaviour… God no…
So, Mr. Prager… Now it’s ok to publish pointless cartoons that are linked to real quantifiable deaths, but it wasn’t ok to publish the Abu Grahb pictures - which, as far as I know, never caused any riots or killings?
Anyway… Prager was successful in deflecting the subject. I tried to bring him back around, but he had already cut me off…
