Andrew Wilkow: The “Next Generation” wingnut
Published by Mike Stark February 16th, 2006 in Podcast, Andrew Wilkowtoo bad the next generation is the same as the old…. Today he was parroting the same stale talking points about the left wing media being mean to little Dickie Dumbass…
never mind that I haven’t heard a single press agent ask:
if Cheney had taken a breathalyzer test…
why Whittington’s BAC hasn’t been released…
nobody has pointed out that the only witness in the case, Ms. Armstrong, a Bush Pioneer, said she saw the whole thing, but that when she saw the medical team running, her first thought was that Cheney had a heart problem…
things that make you go, “hmmm….” huh?
anyway, in this call you’ll hear me contrast the media under Clinton vs Bush, note that all politicians of every stripe are scumbags that need to be watched and raise the aforementioned questions. All in all, not a bad call.

Mike,
Great website, but what happened to the red layout and theme… It was much better than this default wordpress.
PS: what happened to this? http://www.dailykos.com/comments/2006/2/9/0325/19241/59#59
thanks 4 the reminder… great blog - lots of important, though overlooked, information…
Er, uh, please don’t call the V.P. ‘Dickie’ as it is horribly insulting to those of us that go by the name!
Thanks mike!
Can’t wait for today’s limbaugh call to go up.
I’ll try and find a copy for ya
This one’s a beauty, Mike. It took him three or four minutes to right the ship. I love listening to these jamokes stammer and stumble to recover. Sure, they get the last word, but it’s fun to listen to the effects of a good punch to the temple.
I also loved the “all politicans are sumbags” approach. That gives you the chance to be an equal opportunity slammer and makes them have to (hypocritically) distinguish between Clinton’s claimed scumbagness and Bush/Cheney’s scumbagness.
Basically, all he’s left with is, “Our scumbags are better!”
You might have mentioned Gun shot Residue that could tell the actual distance he was shot from, certainly not 30 yards as was ;lied about
Fact is this about Andrew Wilkow. He’s a horrible radio talk show personality, but here’s how he got the gig, and this is NOT rumor. It is well known in the radio community, for which I’m in.
Phil Boyce is the PD of WABC in New York, and apparently he has a daughter who doesn’t care much for him. His daughter is/was friends with Wilkow up in Rochester, or somewhere in Northern New York, and she asked Daddy Boyce to put this guy on.
Boyce and daughter have a strained relationship, so in order to make amends he put this character on the air, and he remains on the air. Why else would he still be on in his home city and NEW YORK CITY, but nowhere else, or at least that I know of? Because he blows.
That’s the story.
Btw, you want to hear the best liberal talk show this side of Neil Rogers, listen to me live on 1450/WCTC AM New Brunswick, Sundays 4-6 PM
or podcasted on my website: www.weinish.blogspot.com after the shows on Sunday.
Late, David
Mike, thanks for bringing up this repellent individual. He broadcasts from the Albany, NY area and was originally slotted for the 5 pm drive time. In a very short amount of time he managed to alienate so many people (police department, elected officials, school board, local newscasters, even me-I called the station one night to register my humble opinion) that he at least was removed from the 5 pm slot to 10 am. He’s still spewing his moronic viewpoints wherein everything that he dislikes seen as the fault of the “liberals”, but at least fewer people are subjected to him, and now we get another hour of Sean Hannity (oh boy).
I’m glad I found your site. It’s bookmarked now.
Andrew Wilkow is not a very clever man, but at least he seems to want to look at things intellectually. That is until someone (or several people) call in to state that his central premise is factually wrong … then he yells.
Just remember, he is the rational conservative and he can allways defeat a liberal with pure reason …
