O’Reilly - 20 Questions

A silly little town somewhere in California passed an ordinance prohibiting municipal money from being spent in San Francisco. They wanted to make a statement against San Francisco’s progressive stances on the war in Iraq and recruiting, amongst other things…

Bill doesn’t often do this, but today, we played twenty questions. it was fun.

I especially love the part where he says, “I don’t care what you did.” Listen for it.

O’Reilly points out that he can cite polls that show Americans don’t want gay marriage.

We had polls in 1960 that showed Americans didn’t want interracial marriage.

We had polls in the 1920’s that showed most Americans didn’t think women’s votes were important.

We had polls in the 1800 that showed most Americans were not against slavery…

And on, and on and on…

I like how O’Leilly formats the questions to make his case and then - yes or no….
    You did a great job.

I just wanted to add that I lived in SF and knew an SF old-timer. We got talking politics one time and he told me he had always been a hard-core Republican until Reagan came in and slashed the mental health funding. He said all of those mentally ill people had nowhere to go, had lost their support and ended up out on the streets of SF. He said the homeless rate skyrocketed. He said Reagan ruined SF and after that he was no longer a Republican (although still conservative.)

He doesn’t care what you did for four years Mike because he sure as heckfire didn’t do it.

Although, if I remember correctly he did go to war once, did he not?

    As a reporter…….
