Two calls to Bill O’reilly, back to back… the first is the best I’ve heard in a long time… the guy calls O’Reilly a “second or third string radio show host” and insults him brilliantly in other ways… it puts anything I’ve done to shame. Whoever you are, thanks very much - it was a powerhouse performance!

The second call was a Wingnut Spinner whether or not he knows it. I haven’t heard from him, so I suspect he’s not anyone from my list… Maybe he just saw Olbermann’s show Friday night. I was listening on the phone (holding - I didn’t get on) and can tell you the part that was dumped was, “I must admit that I deceived your screener because you do not have…”

The first call was awesome! I love that o’reilly says that it is Ok for him to ‘throw in with Murtha’ … and then he dumps the guy and calls him a kool-aid drinker. He called him a chicken hawk and o’reilly didn’t even dispute it he just said that ‘you don’t know anything about it’… ROTFLMAO!

As for the second one, what did Chris say that caused him to get dumped? I didn’t hear him say anything at all… Did he say ‘Olberman’, because it didn’t get come through on the audio…

  2. 2 Mike Stark

Yes - I’m sure he would have said “Olbermann” but he got cut off because falafel-boy saw it coming when he mentioned “deceiving your screener” - that was the part that got dumped that you also didn’t hear.

That’s ok… Keep working ‘em Mike! I hope all you spinners keep at it, because one of these days it is going to come through and I would just love to hear o’reilly reaction to another ‘Olberman’ :)

attention spinners….don’t forget to use the words…”Dan Patrick”…he was Keith Olbermann’s partner on ESPN Sportscenter. Also….ask this …Bill…love your show. I am always looking for washable facial tattoos…to show my support.I have been looking for them but all I find is some old Fox Sports ones with Keith Olbermann on them. can you help?

“Throw in with Murtha?” When it comes to war, who would you rather “throw in” with: a guy who spent a big part of his life in the military, or a bunch of guys who did whatever they could to avoid it?

Bill, you are one big pussy.

One more thing: have you guys seen this clip of Rush guest-hosting the Pat Sajak show back in the early 90’s? The crowd turns on him! At the end, he has them all evicted during a commercial break. Rush, O’Reilly, Hannity — these guys can dish it out, but they can’t take it.

  7. 7 drseuss

yeah slade nice clip of rush… the audience just shuts him down it was funny

  8. 8 Above the Clouds

Slade73–Franken discussed Limbaugh’s implosion and flop-sweat during the taping of Sajak’s show. Franken was quick to point out how frail and exposed Rush is away from the protective unreality of his studio and friendly dittoheads. You are correct–O’Reilly is one big pussy.

At what point does O’Reilly shut down caller #1? The way he keeps talking to him, it seems that he’s been struck dumb by O’R claiming that #1 can’t know whether O’R was or wasn’t in the military. O’R seems to indicate that he, in fact, DID serve in the military. (According to Wikipedia, he did not serve; there’s not even any gaps in his records indicating that he did)

Of course, O’Reilly didn’t serve. If he had, he’d be trumping it up as himself being a combination of Audie Murphy and Chuck Norris.

I enjoyed O’Reilly’s explanation that he has intelligence sources “all over the world.” If he does have sources within the intel community, and he probably does (not that it matters, since he’s more than willing to make up “facts” without them), that is because he is a handy target for their spin. Knowing his viewpoint, they feed him more pro-Bush hooey and he’s eager to parrot it to his audience. As a mouthpiece for neocon intel types, O’Reilly is a willing conduit to disseminating propaganda. It makes him what we in the journalism profession call a “hack.”

I dislike BOR, but it was my understanding he was a radio journalist in Vietnam. Not a Combat post, but he was “in country”. He is cited by a famous British journalist who wrote a book. I will double-check my facts and post more later.

lufa boy was no where near nam….the closest he ever got to a war was when he was in the fauklands.

lufa boy is not a “newsman”

lufa boy doesnt have contacts…he has people who feed him info they want to be spread through the wingnut echo machine,

    Vietnam-era bio of O’Reilly:

Graduated Chaminade HS (Long Island, NY) 1967
Marist College, 1967-71 (1969-70 at University of London)
    Taught HS in Floria, 1971-73
    Boston University grad school, 1973-75

No military service, no Vietnam (correspondent or not; maybe being confused with Al Gore, a private assigned to Vietnam as an Army journalist), just another Chickenhawk.

Mike - - Howard Stern just played your “Olbermann mention - gets Fox Security” call to O’Reilly!

You really have made the big time :)

  16. 16 burnplant

Nice work there, Mike. And all the others on your team.

One thing about the blocking: I’ve used calling cards in the past, you can get a few hundred minutes for about 20 bucks and I don’t think it displays a unique number that can be banned each time.

It’s worked for me on local radio stations, but the Fox Security team may be more advanced!

  17. 17 Captain America

heh heh… this is some funny shit. Falafel Bill is becoming the target of Olberman calls. We should hold a contest to see who can get Bill the most pissed off. Maybe if you asked Bill to stop lying for once. Do you think that’d get him?

I wrote to a sponsor of “the radio factor” explaining that they are associating their company with a guy who threatens people

here is the response I got:

    Dear Roddy,

Did caller “Mike” say on the air what he told O’Reilly’s producer he’d say if connected to Bill?

Or did caller “Mike” lie to the producer in order to get on the air? I suspect that the caller lied to Bill’s producer in order to get on the air, which is a deception. I also think O’Reilly’s entitled to have security check out any caller who lies.

And does this comment from O’Reilly to caller “Mike” undo all the good O’Reilly’s done like conduct a one-man crusade to get “Jessica’s Law” passed in all 50 states? I think not. We take the long view of O’Reilly and don’t think that his handling of this lying caller will have any effect on our company’s image.

    Unintentional gaffe on O’Reilly’s part:

Caller #1 sounded like a black dude. O’Reilly called him a Kool-Aid drinker.

Did anyone catch on Air America’s Majority Report last friday, when Janeane Garofalo announced a little contest to get yourself on the air and mention Keith? Will I get hammered for saying Janeane Garofalo on this board?
Here’s a link she added for the show’s blog.
