The last part of the audio has been cut-off. Where you talk about the economy.

It is funny that Tony once again couldn’t bring himself to denounce the Plame outing. He just had to trot out and say that it was all so innocent and it didn’t even hurt her career. Which is funny, since she no longer works for the CIA as a direct result of the illegal outing.

As for what Bush has done good for the country, Tony listed ONLY TWO THINGS:

    1. Tax cuts
    2. John Roberts and Alito

And really, that is enough for these assholes. The disaster that is Iraq, Katrina, Abramoff, the demolition of the idea that Republicans stand for small government, the destruction of American good will with the rest of the world, TORTURE, TONY, TORTURE!!!

All doesn’t matter. They got their tax cuts and they have Alito. They’re happy.

And trust me, when he said Roberts was chummy with Breyer,… Tony is nervous about that if he’s honest. He’s very nervous. They are waiting for a bonafied social conservative case to come down, but I’ll bet they are nervous about Roberts.

assholes? You soft peddled him and he won the discussion.

there seems to be a bit of a prob w/ the audio mike

i use itunes to grab the audio and it stalled at what looked to be about 40% of the file…

i just canceled it and i’ll try it again after work and post an update

    btw: rock on!

    Nice going Mike.

Except for Tony’s positions, he sounds coherent; so what’s the deal with him?

You made very good points, I was surprised to hear he actually invited you back to talk to him. I think it is a good opportunity to get our arguments heard; no win needed, just to have the bobbleheads hear it is a good step in the right direction.

I heard a comment that you are showing the wingnut’s listeners how to challenge the RWN’s assertions; for a change.

    You’re doing good MIke.

    Tranny

Wow, finally an amicable “we’ll agree to disagree”-type response from a right-wing radio host! I think that is the first time I have ever heard that. I now actually have an ounce of respect for Tony Snow (which is an ounce more than I have for any other RW radio host).

All in all, a good call, even though you probably won’t win any converts on this one.

ok i’ve grabbed it after work thru iTunes and no prob… clip is 5:08 in length

    keep it up!

I am a staunch Christian INDEPENDENT conservative. I thought your bill oreilly call was hilarious, as he is a catholic who is a lockstepper with bush and i dont like him one bit. But you guys are a bit immature, I must say. I did this stuff when I was like 15.

With that being said, I DARE you to try this with michael savage. I dont think its wise, but I would dare you to try and debate with him and see how fast he destroys you hehe.

Could Mr. Snow’s sudden bout of reasonableness have anything to with the fact that he knows that Mike and The Spinners have folks tuning in who are actually paying attention?

Before we all call Mr. Snow reasonable, he was rather blatantly dishonest in at least one regard. His claim that Patrick Fitzgerald has yet to show the harm done to Ms. Plame is pretty crazy. He’s implying that Fitzgerald NEEDS to do that to make his case, which of course he doens’t.

Like these clowns would have been persuaded by a lack of evidence that Paula Jones was hurt when Clinton lied. When people in this administration break the law the right-wing response is “where’s the harm?” Illegal wiretaps, torture etc.

That is utter bullshit, and while Mr. Snow was nice enough, he snuck that crap in there. Don’t let people feed you that garbage.

I think, out of all the people I have listened to you converse with on this site, that Tony Snow is the most reasonable. He seems actually willing to debate. And not the kind of debate where everybody goes all out to make thier point seem like the only right side of the arguement. The kind of a debate where you bring your side, they bring thier side, you both talk about your points, and then talk an full light with the entire story presented before both sides and the audience. Debating isn’t about being the only right one in the bunch. It is about making the full story known, and having a discussion so that the truth is brought forth, no matter who is correct. If he truly does follow that kind of aspect, then he is quite respectable.
