I caught this crazy woman on Wilkow…

Wilkow was Wilkow… Nuttier than a Snickers Bar. But this woman… that Wilkow agreed with…

I don’t see how Wilkow ever gets out of middle market…

I don’t want to create another post for this, so I can tell you here… Tonight I was on the Lars Larson Show as sort of a quasi-guest. Lars got wind of CallingAllWingnuts and had me on to talk about it (and other things) for about a half an hour. I thought things went great, but when I went to manipulate the audio so that it would be suitable for posting here, I found that something had gone wrong… The recording sounded like it had been made under water.

So… I’m holding back the audio for now. I’m going to try to get their studio to email or send me a copy of the interview in the mail. When I get it, Ill post it. In the meantime, if you have to listen to wingnut radio, Lars Larson is actually pretty fair and fun to listen to…

People like Wilkow and this lady are evidence of the failure of our education system.

    First time commentor…

1st…Love your site. Thanks for the good fight and keep it up; I and mine are right there w/ you. I found you w/ all the KO stuff about 4-5 weeks ago…

2nd (and my point)…You state “Lars Larson is actually pretty fair and fun to listen to…”

    OH MY GOD.

    You have NO idea.

I’m from the NW, and Lars is SO FAR from that quote, you have no idea.

He’s a Tillamook “Cheesemaker”, and so is my hubby. He could tell you a few stories about Lars from the “ole” days in the 70’s and high school. Not pretty, as far as family history goes.

And if you think Lars is “fair and fun” then you haven’t heard Rhandi R’s (Air America) PoV of him.

Lars is an extremist. He spouts hate in the NW all of the time. It’s really ugly.

You must have caught him at a lull…and I’m not surprised your audio is gurgled.

I’m somewhat amazed you’d ever utter the name “Lars Larson” along w/ the words “fair and fun” in the same sentence, let alone paragraph/essay/NOVEL!!!!!

    He’s right of RIGHT.

    Lars…

I know this guy from the Portland OR media market. I used to go to school in Portland.

Checking out his website it seems Lars is pushing Bruce Bartlett’s book, “Imposter”

    Check it out: http://www.larslarson.com/HotTopics/138108.aspx

Clearly that woman reads nothing but NewsMax.

“Mel” is right on target. Lars is every bit the hate-monger as is Hannity, and is second on my list of most-disliked radio people. He is another one that, when I hear him, I turn to another station. I, too, nearly fell over when I saw “fair and fun”.

Randi Rhodes’ ad on our local Air America station is a hoot, because she dismisses him like so much lint, and ends it with, “Oh, go to hell.” Exactly my sentiments for Larson.

I hate talking about gays, guns, and God, but Larson is THE man if you want to stir up hatred for gays. He’s so homophobic, it makes me wonder if he protests just a little too much.

In this case, “fair and fun” is about as believeable as “fair and balanced”.

I wonder what the OxyContin Kid thinks about the recent execution of American peace activist Tom Fox by his kidnapers in Iraq.

When Fox’s group was abducted, Limpbaugh had this to say: “I’m telling you, folks, there’s a part of me that likes this”

Mike…I listened to a replay of Lars’ show last night and was able to record your segment. If you still are interested in getting the recording email me at bkaufman@cox.net and I’ll send it to you

Lars is neither fair nor fun.

Listen to him for five minutes and you’re sure to hear something he pulled out of thin air (or perhaps from a place where the air isn’t so thin). Bring this to the attention of station management, and their response is “but he gets great ratings.”

He often skirts with slander–he compared one anti-war college professor to another one who was charged with aiding terrorists (who has since been acquitted, if I recall correctly).

He denied on air that Ann Coulter has advocated violence against liberals. He has said that the cops killing of un-armed people is a good thing. Perhaps it’s because they’re African-American.

By the way, he and other race-baiters like O’Reilly and Michael Savage appear on a station owned by Paul Allen, who also owns Portland’s NBA team. Perhaps the team is going in the toilet because their games are heard on a hate-radio station.

Hey Mel and Bob, Lars is not a hatemonger. That title goes to Randi Rhodes. She once “joked” about how President Bush should be assassinated just like Fredo in “The Godfather, Part II”
