Why is it that when the radical right wingnuts are on the losing end of a discussion they often fall back on "If you dont' like it here, leave."?

Those of us who are bright enough to see the distruction of our country going on before our eyes are also U.S. citizens with the right and obligation to do what we can to stop the fascist forces from taking over every damn thing in sight and turning the rest of us into slaves.

Buster Chuck2, you like being taken over and turned into a zombie marching to the tune of the corporate fat cat aristocrats who are doing their damn best own you and us body and soul, then you might like to try moving to Russia, from whence Bubba Bush gets his advice and support--from V. Putin, whose eyes he looked into and saw his soul, (of all the crap I ever read from a Prez, that's gotta be the winner). You would feel right at home with gangster gubmint and no civil rights to speak of. Everything is black and white there and you should be right comfortable.

David Ricardo's Iron Law of Wages states that wages "naturally" tended towards a minimum level corresponding to the subsistence needs of the workers. This "law" is complimented well by the New Deal programs. Today's robber barrons are enjoying the record breaking stock market without the unsightly bread lines of the past.

Chuck,

Nice try...the story doesn't give the rate by which wages increased. Wages have increased over the past couple of years, but not at a fast enough rate to offset the rise of inflation. So is a "modest rate" 2%? 3%? If it's either one of those, which is where it has been recently, that don't cover a rate of inflation that is at about 4%.
