Medved
Published by Mike Stark March 16th, 2006 in Podcast, Michael MedvedToday was “Disagree day” on Medved… I took it as an opportunity to point out the rampant hypocrisy involved in defending the morality of republican politicians while attacking democrats on a daily basis…
And I got some good Moonie shots in…

Interesting how Medved tries to separate Republican “ideas” from Republicans themselves. These “ideas” are what animate Republicans and their corruption. He sounds like those idiots who defend communism when people attack the Soviet Union by claiming that the country itself was a contradiction of what communism is theoretically. Thus Communism and “communism” in the Soviet Union are separate and different. So they argue: Sure, the communists in the Soviet Union suck, but Communism is a great idea! Nice try Medved.
How the hell could he have ever claimed this sort of stuff? Unbelievable
The problem I have with this is that Medved doesn’t define what he means when he uses the term “corrupt”. Medved should have been asked where he draws the line. If lying is not corrupt, but making money from a lie is corrupt, then does he condone moving our moral bar to include lying as long as no one makes money from it? How about lying to gain power? And doesn’t money come with power?
I think you all need to get a hobby or something, like playing texas hold em!!!Except for you Mike, stick with this nonsense, I have seen you play before!!!
^ It looks like Fox Secuirty has sent out their crack-internet squad.
Chuck2, FU!
Mike,
If this site gets more traffic, and I think it will, you might need a way to troll rate comments.
Intimidation is not communication.
My next guess is that a big name talk show host will direct listeners to your site to crash it.
Also, isn’t it ironic that the folks who detest “frivolous lawsuits” are the first to scream “I’ll sue!”?

chuck2, you’re a blowhard. The statute you cite refers to recordings which take place in Florida. When Mike records a call, the recording takes place in New York. Thanks for calling, try again later.

chuck — If you are going to quote law then quote the law not plagiarize somebody else’s interpretation of the law.
Since I doubt you read the statute you might want to read
Florida Statute 934.03 section (h)
(h) It shall not be unlawful under ss. 934.03-934.09 for any person:
1. To intercept or access an electronic communication made through an electronic communication system that is configured so that such electronic communication is readily accessible to the general public.
P.S. I know Medved personally and I see him 2 or 3 times most weeks. Sock it to him. He deserves it. (And know I don’t have a choice in the matter it’s part of my job. I just don’t have to seat next - thank god.)
In Mike’s call to Medved he said,
“Every single politician in order to get where they are has made so many deals with the devil, so many compromises of principle”
So I am asking Mike a simple question, which is:
What are your sources that you used to make that assertion? Please just give some links, books, or any other sources you used to come to that conclusion. Thank you.
(Please note, there are 535 elected members of the US Congress, so please provide a sufficient number of sources to prove your assertion that all 535 members have made “deals with the devil” and “compromises of principle.”)
Second, Mike said
“When Scooter Libby has done it (in reference to the perjury charge)”
I have two more questions for Mike which are:
1. Has Scooter Libby been convicted of the crime of perjury?
2. Is not our legal system based on the presumption of innocence until guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a trial by a jury of one’s peers?
There’s many a reason for Liberals to shake their heads when GOoPers trying talking about Welfare, or Marriage, or Crime. Red states have higher divorce rates, more crime and more welfare queens than Blue states.
More funny stuff from planet dipshit. This is what I hear from the GOoPers at work every day:
* Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush’s daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and a bad guy when Bush needed a “we can’t find Bin Laden” diversion.
* Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.
* The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq, Iran, and Syria.
* A woman can’t be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all humanity with no regulation whatsoever.
* The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans’ benefits and combat pay.
* If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won’t have sex.
* A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.
* Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism.
* Global warming and tobacco’s link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
* A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Your post has nothing to do with Mike’s call to Medved.
Please, stay on topic and address the prompt of this post by Mike.
Or maybe you can try and answer the questions I posed to Mike regarding the sources of the assertions he made in the call.
Your post has nothing to do with Mike’s call to Medved.
Chuckles, it’s not your blog - don’t tell others what to discuss.
You are not a Hall Monitor anymore - get rid of the orange vest.
Geez, not even a smart troll…
Basically, what Medved is saying is that he appeals to theoretical Republican rhetoric, while disregarding the realistic corruption of individual Republican politicians, as if the two are separate.
Gee, when you compare a theoretical model to another realistic model, guess which one wins out?
I don’t live by theory, I live in the land of reality, and the land of reality has corrupt republican politicians who need to go to jail.
Don’t worry Chuck, I agree that corrupt democratic politicians need to go to jail too. I’m all for that.
Rico, let Chuck say what he wants. Don’t be a commie and censor him.
This is a public forum, and people can say what they want.
Chuck,
Are you seriously annoyed with me becuase the comment I posted was not responsive to your comment or Mike Stark’s topic?
I read your comment and imagined you sitting at home, pressing the refresh button over and over waiting for someone to address your concerns. Nonetheless, You seem like a polite and nice person so I don’t want engage you in a verbal tiff.
Take issue with details if you must but don’t miss the main point. People like Limbaugh and O’Reilly intentionally mislead and misinform their audiences. If Mike or others call in and challenge them on their
bullsh!t more power to them. The propaganda shoveled at the American people presents a danger to our Republic.
For months before the invasion of Iraq Limbaugh and O’Reilly bet the war drums. Don’t let the smoking gun be a mushroom cloud they cried. They could not have been more wrong. We have never engaged in a doctrine of pre-emptive warfare. The war was NOT a reaction to a threat. It was a bag job.
Now, do you agree with O’Reilly that we should bomb Iran? I think what he said is HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE. I hope Mike calls him on it.
Chuck needs to get laid!!!
Mike,
next time you (or anyone for that matter) gets into medved’s show, please ask him about the connections between his mentor Rabbi Daniel Lapin and Jack Abramoff.
Abramoff used Lapin’s non profit group to launder millions of dollars.
In my view both Lapin and Medved should be rotting in jail right now.
Oh, and I urge everyone to go and make V for Vendetta the number 1 film in the country….this will give Medved adjada to no end.
Libby = mickey mouse indictment??? Why does Michael Medved hate america?
I Ron Iee’s initial post does address the call to Medved. As crazy as those subjects appear to be among the list. Those are indeed, the RepubliCON ideas of which Medved speaks.
Btw,is it just me?……Medved sounds like some kind of mind altering drug and/or a mind numbing beverage.
I know nothing about this issue.
Neverless, I’ll comment on this issue.

Are you willing to give the same consideration to Jose Padilla? How about to all those people that have been held at Guantanamo for 4 1/2 years, and haven’t even been charged?
By the way, can anyone tell me where in the U.S. Constitution it says that the rights guaranteed by it only pertain to citizens?

By the way, I listen to Medved occasionally.
On several occasions, he has stated that the unmarried birth rate before Roe v. Wade was 5%. That’s technically true, if before Roe v. Wade you mean 1960. By 1972 the rate had doubled.
I tried to call on a “disagreement day” (most Thursdays), but the call screener wouldn’t let me on. I’ve also tried emailing, both the show and the station manager of his home station, all to no avail.

I think on the face of it you could say small government Republicans are creating a big government that protects the wealthy from democracy just as well as the Soviet Union and other “People’s Republics” were not republics or democracies at all but actually dictatorships.
I’ve heard those “idiot’s” arguments that you mentioned but their point is the disconnect is simply propaganda. For example, we don’t say republics collapsed because we can see they were republics in name only. On the flip side, the idea that communism collapsed is accepted because it fits the YAY Capitalism propaganda. But these were dictatorships that destroyed labor unions and destroyed democracy in their countries.
Ya Medved does sound like some military jargon for medical vehicle deployment or something
More on my attempted call to Medved…
I thought it was ridiculous that on “disagreement day” the screener would block me from disagreeing, so I called back. The screener asked me where I got my information, and I said that I got it from the CDC. The screeener immediately hung up.
Apparently Medved doesn’t want callers on who disagree with him who have gotten their facts from reputable sources.

“Rico, let Chuck say what he wants. Don’t be a commie and censor him. This is a public forum, and people can say what they want.”
Actually it’s Mike’s website, it’s not a public forum.
Fucktard…
Amazing how people will pick apart someone like Medved and analyze him out of context, but when bubba Billy or bubba Jimmy speaks in support of terrorism, dictatorships and communist principles you people have nothing but adoration and praise. Perhaps another hundred million need to perish at the hands of the communists before you will get the message. But followers of Stalin, Lenin and Marx are losers, so I guess it doesn’t matter what you learn. Poor foos
