Hey kids: don’t do drugs
Published by Mike Stark April 3rd, 2006 in UncategorizedOr revel too much in absolutely fantastic news. I’m not sure I would have felt this good if Kerry had won the Presidency.
(on the other hand, if Howard Dean had won it… well have you ever seen videos of pilots going through altitude training? The ones where they get silly and sillier? That woulda been me… for weeks…)
Anyway, back to the issue at hand… If you are first learning that Tom Delay announced his pending resignation from this blog, you really need to get out more… With today’s talk radio almost exclusively centered on immigration, there really hasn’t been a lot for me to say - I’d just end up boring y’all saying the same thing over and over again.
But this… mannah from heaven, baby! I’m gonna have a field day tomorrow.
This call was made to Jim Bohannon. I was a rambling idiot. I reveled way too much in absolutely fantastic news. But it still feels good, so have a listen…

You say you rambled but I diagree. The host tried the trick of leaving you to talk so that eventually you would run out of steam and say something ridiculous, thus rendering your whole call worthless to his listeners. You, however, talked and talked and made great point after great point. It was great to hear! Please keep up the wonderful work you do!
Rambled? Maybe. But you made tons of great points!
I think Jimbo is reconsidering his affiliations and wanted to be convinced. Do you think the marginal wingnuts are about to crack?
Mike, you were anything but rambly. I really enjoy these little vignette’s.
My ability to speak extemporaniously is limited, so I would be easy to shread on-air. This is why I am not a caller. I enjoy the afterglow here and on other sights.
Keep doing what you do!
To Mike and all the brave folks helping out with this noble mission, I have a suggestion for a key phrase to repeat as many times as possible when calling the nutteries:
Tom Delay’s strategy for the Republicans to succeed in the mid-term election is to cut and run.
Specifically emphasize the words “Strategy…Repubs…cut and run”
I can hear Hannity’s head exploding all ready…
Loved the call, Mike!! Keep up the good work. I especially love when you indict the entire republican party. That’s the type of meta-point you need to keep making on these programs. The republican party has failed us. Not just Tom Delay or Mike Brown or Michael Chertoff or whomever.
Ya I agree with Jim’s point - the host tried to give you enough rope to hang yourself with. You did good though and it was funny too. I liked the part where you listed all the Republicans up for indictments - good memory
