Delay throws his aides under the bus

And no way is he involved with Mr. Jack Abramoff…
“Everybody is lying,” Abramoff told a former colleague. There are e-mails and records that will implicate others, he said. He was noticeably caustic about House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. For years, nobody on Washington’s K Street corridor was closer to DeLay than Abramoff. They were an unlikely duo. DeLay, a conservative Christian, and Abramoff, an Orthodox Jew, traveled the world together and golfed the finest courses. Abramoff raised hundreds of thousands for DeLay’s political causes and hired DeLay’s aides, or kicked them business, when they left his employ. But now DeLay, too, has problems—in part because of overseas trips allegedly paid for by Abramoff’s clients. In response, DeLay and his aides have said repeatedly they were unaware of Abramoff’s behind-the-scenes financing role. “Those S.O.B.s,” Abramoff said last week about DeLay and his staffers, according to his luncheon companion. “DeLay knew everything. He knew all the details.”

if you watched “the sopranos” this week, you would have seen hesh with a brilliant line…when his daughter comments of evangelicals being a good friend to the jews, because of Israel, Hesh says “just wait.”
abramoff shoulda talked to hesh before getting involved with delay….but his greed blinded him to the reality of the jew….the evangelicals hate us…we are of satan

Nothing unethical?!!? How about inciting a riot at Nick Lampson (his democratic rival in Sugarland)? This guy is unbelievable. Literally. The only thing that tops it is how sooo many repubs still defend him. I really and truly hate to use a derivative of a repub talking point but it seems as if they are republicans first and Americans not first. Not saying they hate America (as they love to accuse dems of) but really, can’t you see the damage that the leaders of your party are doing????

OT: Actually, the funniest line in the Sopranos was Christopher musing about a Tyranosaurus Rex chasing Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (after the holy-roller minister said the dinosaurs actually roamed the earth 6,000 years ago, vs. millions).
bill hicks had a bit about that. i believe it involved jesus taking a splinter out of the paw of a brontasaurus, and then sending him to live in scotland. apperantly people think fossils are buried there cause god is testing our faith (”im a prankster god. we’ll see who believes in me now.”)
tom delay? is that a french name? tomas le delay? he must be french cause he turned tail and ran. cut and run. white flag delay. when the going gets tough delay gives up.
