I had been holding a while (I intended to talk about the Generals calling for Rummy’s head…), but I got sucked into the Rumsfeld bit…
He pressed me on why I thought Rummy hates America - I could have given example after example, but I was only able to talk about what I consider to be one of the Pentagon’s biggest failures - the refusal to equip our troops with the best body armor available.
As you’ll hear, Rusty didn’t want to talk much about that.
