Oh Hannity! say it ain’t so! You aren’t gonna let a little ol’ blogger punk you… are you?
Published by Mike Stark April 25th, 2006 in Sean HannityDay Two ended in much the same way as day one… no real blood drawn, but we shot a couple across the bow…
We need more callers. There just isn’t any other alternative.
It won’t be long before Hannity follows in O’Reilly’s steps and blocks my calls… Today I got through to O’Reilly, and before even asking what I wanted to say, the screener hung up on me. So for this to be successful, more of you will have to come aboard…
Anyway… the audio. I included an excellent caller that preceded those that Hannity dumped. He was great - he just kept asking why Hannity was taking the side of the oil companies instead of standing up for the people. He fixed on that point like a bulldog fixes on its favorite chew toy… And it worked to great effect. Even Hannity said he wanted to go bash himself in the head with a baseball bat at the end of that call….
The next two callers both got on “Where’s Lieberman” shots - I think… As you can tell, Hannity dumped the audio…
But like I said… It’s gonna take more than two callers a day. We need to rev this thing up to at least 4-5 callers each and every day. We need to make Hannity explain why he’s hanging up on about 1/3 of his callers.

I do have to ask, what is the motivation to egg Hannity on about Lieberman not appearing on his radio show or Alan Colme’s TV show the last 3 months? Is Lieberman getting lower poll results as an independent or democrat each time after showing up as a guest? If so, I can see why you’d want a DINO to be near Hannity.
As for the cut offs, hilarious. I’m sure Hannity wants to say something not so nice in response but figures that’ll give ammunition like what was used against O’Reilly. Yes, sooner or later he’ll have to face the issue or get a better screener.
Sorry to say, but I think the coordinated multi-calling technique is counterproductive. I find the calls where you build a relationship with the host much more interesting and productive. Calling multiple times to make one rather unimportant point is antagonistic and will only get you banned.
I love it when you get the host to actually engage in some discussion. That’s when the real magic happens, such as when you stopped Hannity (or was it O’Reilly?) dead in his tracks by reminding him that Bob Dole was doing the exact same thing that Bill Clinton was doing on the Dubai ports deal.
You’ll never get that sort of thing to happen by having many people call with the only purpose being to badger the host about Joe Lieberman. They’ll drop your call and maybe bloviate a little about left-wing blogs and then EVERY leftwinger who calls can painted with that same brush.
anon: You make some assumptions, that in Hannity’s case, are simply flawed. Hannity has painted nayone to the left of Ann Coulter as traitorous slime for as long as I’ve listened to his show.
And there is a greater purpose here… my entire reason for calling into these shows (and keeping this blog) is to exert some ownership over the people’s airwaves… I’m tired of Hannity/Limbaugh and O’Reilly setting the political agenda for this country.
We matter. What we want matters.
But if we don’t call, we don’t.
I find it interesting in thyis call that Hannity points to Shumer as one of the leaders responsible for all these enormous taxes. With this Congress, I doubt Shumer could pass a 1 cent per year tax hike to help care for orphans with terminal cancer.
Keep up the good work, Mike.
ship that man bat right away .
holy crap mike - I got through and I’m on hold!
I made it through - not sure if my question about Lieberman made it on the air!
nah… we heard - “Sean, can I ask one more thing?”
“OK… next caller”
I’m going to post you later tonight - probably around 11-11:30 PM EST
Oh well…the goal is to get him rattled. I found it interesting that he didn’t want to talk about Rove, considering that was the reason I gave to the screener about why I was calling!
Mike - I heard your call - of course he dumped you,t oo.
I was on hold……and then the screener came back on and hung up.
Regarding them blocking your calls/hanging up on you, have you considered a phone proxy? There are a few services out there. This is just one I found via google (I have no relationship or experience with this company or any other telco proxies for that matter, it was just one of the first that I found): http://www.myprivateline.com/index.cfm
Here’s another article on another service: http://www.securityfocus.com/news/9822
Now the greatest flexibilty would be to setup an Asterisk PBX system, but it may be more involved. http://www.asterisk.org/
Great going, Mike, Cosmo and the rest of the callers. The great myth of the right-wing is that there are only a few, weak liberal elites calling the shots. Just hearing the gyrations of a talkshow host dealing with opposition destroys the myth.
And it inspires other lefties out there, that it is okay to fight, there are others that feel the same way against the radical propaganda of hate radio.
I notice Hannity dumped the calls before some of you even said what you wanted to, I’ve heard there is a seven second delay they use to get rid of profanity, either way, it is refreshing to know that this no talent loudmouth assclown named Sean Hannity is being challenged, and I think you are all doing a great job.
