Smears
Published by Mike Stark April 25th, 2006 in Sean HannityIt’s great when choices are clearly defined…
The enerals calling for Rumsfeld’s resignation is an example.
We can choose to believe one of two things…
That all of these generals that have served closely with Donal Rumsfeld, many of whom have spent time in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, each of whom have given their entire adult lives to their country, are:
A) Politically motivated Bush/Rumsfeld haters determined to damage the administration - even at the expense of the troops they led and the country they’ve devoted their lives to
or
B) They think that by coming forward at long last, they may be able to affect positive change that will strengthen the country they’ve given all to and provide a better leadership matrix for the troops they once led
There really isn’t any in-between. They either want the best for their country and former troops or they could give a rats ass because they are politicized riff-raff with no honor that simply want to damage the country’s leadership for some unknown reason…

near the end it sounds like hannity is saying that one of these generals havent been in the military. theres a little blip that obscures a word or two so im not sure, but do you know if thats what he said? he says “no, in one case it was a guy thats […] been in the military, so its very different.” i must be getting it wrong, seeing as how rediculous that would be, but i also cant imagine what it could have been he said.
I think he was talking about Admiral zinni who may not have been on active duty when he made some of his pro-Iraq war statements…
but that’s a canard as well… the fact that we went into Iraq has very little to do with the competency of Rumsfeld’s reign as SecDef.
You should have pointed out how Sean himself changed his tune. He bashed Clinton about military operations and now attacks anyone who questions Bush, as hurting the war effort. He has no ideals or convictions of his own. So I don’t see how he can question anyone else about their motives. Look up some of his past statements and you’ll see he is attacking people for saying the exact same things he said about the Clinton administration.
