Apologies
Published by Mike Stark May 2nd, 2006 in UncategorizedI made a coupla calls yesterday, but when I went to retrieve them from my IPod (my recorder), it froze. I’m bringing it to the Apple store today, but I’m afraid it is kaput…
I will try to get a call or two up today, but it might take me until tomorrow to get back on track…
[UPDATE] As I suspected, the IPod is toast. So… I sprung for another one - the new, improved model… Which isn’t compatible with the $40 microphone that the old model used… Not only that, but the microphone for the new model is so new, it isn’t carried by any of the stores yet. I have to order it online.
So… I’ve got access to site subcriptions for Hannity, Limbaugh and Bennett. I can download the entire mp3 of their shows once it is in the can… If I can get on to their shows, I’ll have a post for you. If I cannot, it’ll be a few days before the microphone I’m about to order arrives.

Try downloading audacity. It will capture on your computer from either you sound card or line/mic in. It should get you through the next couple of days.

you’ll be alright. IPOD sucks ass though. a grown man with an ipod kind of reminds me of the men with fanny packs in the late 80s.
Hey Mike, I’ve been reading your site and listening to your calls for a couple of weeks now and I never leave a comment.
I just wanted to thank you for what you do. I know it must take a lot of time and work to do this but it means a lot to me and so many others. Keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight!
Maybe one of these days daytime radio talk shows will include a show with someone like you to truely balance things out.

You were recording these calls using your iPod? And they sounded that good?
Wow. I have probably the same mic attachment for my first-generation iPod, and it sounds miserable. Just completely distorted. Worst $40 purchase I’ve ever made. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.
