The best call ever…
Published by Mike Stark May 7th, 2006 in Rush LimbaughI’m not worthy… I’m not worthy… What a fantastic call!!
Rush was reporting on the Kennedy incident…
Here are some of the things he had to say before he talked to “Alice”:
There’s lot of things here, and that’s why I bring up Cynthia McKinney, ladies and gentlemen. Because she’s under grand jury investigation for allegedly just hitting a Capitol Hill Police officer in the Capitol, and she’s getting no special or beneficial treatment whatsoever. They’re trying to hang Cynthia McKinney, and of course she’s black, and Congressman Kennedy isn’t. He’s white, and of course the McKinney name in Washington doesn’t carry the weight that the Kennedy name in Washington carries.
…
Now, Congresswoman McKinney, I haven’t heard from her yet today. We haven’t heard from her yet. You know she’s gotta be watching all this. They must have her tied down somewhere, folks, to keep her from a microphone, to keep her from a television. Honestly, look at the difference in standards of treatment here. Look at the difference in how various circumstances are being dealt with. The problem with Cynthia McKinney here is — well, her problem is she could come out and denounce favoritism, of course, but the problem is she’s asking for some by asking the incident that she’s involved with to be forgotten.
You know what she should do? She should come up and she should demand equal treatment, the same thing Patrick Kennedy got, meaning equal immunity from the law in Washington, DC…
…
There is a cover-up, and, you know, I keep hearkening back to Cynthia McKinney, but I’m almost tempted to get in on a legal defense fund for her, because clearly there’s a double standard of treatment going on depending on who you are in that town even if you are a member of Congress.
After he said all of this, he took a call from “Alice”… and I gotta think that by the end of this call, Rush must’ve felt like he had been pulled down the rabbit hole….
“Alice” says that preferential treatment is all about money… Then she asks, “What about you and the houskeeper with the shoe box in the parking lot?”… “Are you saying it wasn’t true?”
Rush says, “I won’t dignify that”
Alice: “That’s how you are getting around it.”
Before I finish this post, I have to give credit where it is due… I didn’t listen to Rush on Friday. George E. sent me an email telling me that Mike Malloy had this on his show last Friday… So this came from Mike, went to George and was forwarded to me… Now you’ve got it… Enjoy!

Way to go Alice!
She sounded incredibly confident and unruffled as she manhandled the drug-addled gasbag. What a woman!
He obviously cut her audio off. What a Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker (”…He Can Explain…”)
Ain’t the rapidly expanding instances of Truth To Power incidents just grand?
Brilliant.
First it was Harry Taylor telling President Bush he was ashamed at his leadership, then Stephen Colbert not only letting Bush & the rest of the neo con politicians feel his rage but the media letting them get away with it as well. Then it was former CIA agent Ray McGovern calling Donald Rumsfeld a big liar in front of a audience. now it’s Alice turn to put Rush in his place. Great call Alice but I’m surprise everybody forgot about the other big cover up. Dick Cheney and why it took 22 hours to interview the Cheney and to see if he was really drinking or not while hunting. And why the Texas sheriff department didn’t get a chance to talk to the vice president? Other than that, you did a great job Alice. Boy all this stuff is coming back to bite the neo cons ass.
As far as Patrick Kennedy is concerned, I think it’s important that people remember he’s been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Having some experience with this disorder (I have an uncle and a cousin dealing with this), I can easily see how a combination of prescription drugs can really confuse him and make him appear drunk. He’s also been surprisingly open about it. Most likely his family name and his father’s history of drinking has forced him to be a little more forthcoming than most people would be. So before you let all your Republican friends crucify the man, just remember that sometimes irrational behavior isn’t a choice.
Rush is a much-married, lying, pill-head blowhard, and an apologist for a half-wit president and his party. Nothing anyone can say can tarnish further his image with those who still think. Why bother any longer with the dolts who regularly listen to this hypocrite? They are impervious to argument.
Oh my God, that was great!
Hey, was just at www.rawstory.com , and they had a link to your story here. Making the big time Mike.
Great job as usual!
That was a great call. The only way she could have made it better was to ask Rush “well, why haven’t you sued the National Enquirer?” after he went on that little rant about “are you going to believe the National Enquirer.” He hasn’t sued them for slander/libel, so there’s obviously a good deal of truth to their story.
Alice, baby, you’re the greatest!
Your ol’ buttercup,
Ralphie Boy
(and to you, Lush Rimbaugh, bang, zoom, straight to the moon)
Alice did a great job of reeling him in and delivering a crushing blow to that lying sack of shit. Love it!

i kind of doubt he would have a case (even if they were lying). most of the stuff they print has some sort of loophole or plausible deniability behind it i think.
Alice…will you marry me? We could settle down and raise some beautiful little moonbats together
Or another response to the Enquirer question would have been, “Well, the Enquirer had a lot of news about Bill Clinton that you ran with. So were they wrong then or are they wrong now?”
Alice, you are the greatest ! You brightened the day of
millions. Mike, thank you for publishing.
It has been my experience that ‘cornered’ guilty MALES resort to word usage such as BITTER, NEUROTIC, CRAZY, OR HYSTERICAL etc, when confronted by a female. Add to Rush’s faulty characteristics, SEXIST.
