When I asked if the Democrats would have neglected armor for the troops, he spun an answer about Clinton hating the military… Never mind that it was a republican Congress and that the whole world expected a “Peace dividend”. I actually mentioned all of that, but Bennet had cut my mic…

Mike, the next time one of these guys spouts that worn out statement that it was Clinton and the Democrats that drew down the military you might want to hit them with some facts. It was during the Reagan/Bush administrations that the Base Closure and Realignment program was started and it was under Bush I that the draw down started. It was also under the Bush I administration that most of the cuts in military funding was initiated. Do a google on this, you might be surprised and also gain a little ammo to fire back at the liars with.
