Calling All Wingnuts

He’s local and he works for the same station Andrew Wilkow works for.  He also used to do some pretty high level work for the national and state republican parties, I believe.

You need some background to understand this call completely.

Martin was tying two studies together.  The first study came out of Britian, where they found that teenage girls are engaging in increasingly risky behaviour and have become as likely or more likely than boys to drink, take drugs and have sex.

The second study was done by some local students in the suburbs.  Clifton Park is one of the richer, whiter and most Republican suburbs of Albany, NY.  Their high school, Shenendehowa, is huge and well known.  It’s the rich kids public school, the Albany area’s 90210…

I listen to plenty of local radio in addition to all the national shows I track.  A common theme amongst the locals is that those welfare sponges in Albany need to do something to take responsibility for their own actions and lives.

Well, it turns out that, according to the study the students at Shen did, most of their peers are having sex by the tenth grade.  Most of them consider marijuana use to be socially acceptable.  Most of them drink.

Ed didn’t want it to get political, but it was a great time for me to point out to the family values voters that they are a bunch of damned hypocrits.
