Rush was irritated all day and Jack’s call sent him over the edge. Jack was saying how Rush had to admit the Iraq war was a failure and the coalition had to pull out pronto. I don’t know if Jack actually expected Rush to explode on him or “see the light” but he definitely didn’t expect him to explode in that particular way.

All that being said, Rush knows your website, but with the poor fidelity of the cochlear implant he doesn’t seem to be able to distinguish caller’s identities. It’s quite sad really to see a joke made of hearing loss, regardless of how it occured. Besides, Jack didn’t set up his question tactfully so that the message could be delivered and dealt with, he fired immediately with the talking points that were completely opposite of Rush’s. That’s a no-no, unless you sound like an easy mark for him to mock or crush.

As I said before, I’m a conservative, and Hannity is still a meathead. I like Rush though, and he will give you a chance if you’re quick on your feet. Mike, you do a good job of it, just need to spring the traps with more wit. The hosts do not react well to immediate bald-faced confrontation that makes them look bad. Then again, there’s only so much time they give you before they hang up….
