Bill O’Reilly

He’s talked up this wonderful economy forever.  He’s been a real cheerleader for the tax cuts and the whole Bush team.  In fact, he says all Bush’s problems have to do with the price of gas…

Well, let’s do some math.  What would you say a reasonable price for gas is?  Let’s be nice to Bill.  We’ll go with $1.50/gallon.  Now what is the price today?  Again, we’ll error in Bill’s favor.  Let’s pick $3.50.  The difference is $2.00/gallon.  Now let’s say you drive a car (like I do) that has a fifteen gallon tank and that you use a tank of gas a week.  Your gas costs have risen $30 a week or about $1500/year.  And remember, that’s being extrememely generous to Bill.

Now take a look at your utility bill.  Got kids in college?  How’s that tuition bill?  Pay a premium for your health care?  How’s that going?  How about your school taxes?  Property taxes?  do you pay 8% sales tax on everything you buy the way I do?

It doesn’t take long to realize that your increased gas costs are but one peice of the puzzle that has driven everyone into debt.  We’re slaves to our bankers - our fat and rich top 1%.

We’re right to be pissed off about an economy that has outstanding traditional numbers, but has benefits that acrue almost exclusively to the ridiculously wealthy.

And compassionate Bill - his advice?  Move to Vegas and get your real estate license.

lol….lufa boy with the let them eat cake line…

does he know the reason most people dont leave jobs is because of health care benefits?

and sure…it is so simple to pick up and find new work

retraining takes time and money….or loans which place one further into debt.

how do people watch or listen to him with a straight face.

Ha, Ha, Kieth Obermann, on his “Countdown” show last Thursday night (6-1-06) really beat the pants off O’Reilly for his total disregard of the facts concerning a WWII massacre of U.S. soldiers in France. K.O. said he would have more about that incident on his Monday night show.

O’Reilly had, earlier in the week, made reference to the slaughter of Nazi S.S. troops in Malmerdie, France when it was actually the other way around. The Nazi S.S. soldiers had shot and killed 84 unarmed U.S. troops they had captured.

Damn, you’re right, Bill. I’ll just tell my boss down at the plant that I’ll be taking a few weeks off to try to get my Real Estate license. Since I have the time off, I’ll just dump some stagnant stocks (we all have a portfolio, right?) and sink the money into some not-yet-built condos and just flip’em after their built. It’s so simple, why didn’t I think of it before? I’ll be riding that great economic wave like the rest of this rich country. At least until the real estate market cools next year.
