This is the kind of in-your-face call y’all were agitiating for.

In the beginning of the call, you’ll catch Prager saying that one of the reasons libs fear global warming is that we are more afraid of death than conservatives are.  I countered that by suggesting he go to any college republican meeting, ask the kids who think this war is their generation’s greatest moral calling to enlist, and then watch them piddle themselves.

I pointed out that concern for the environment crosses party lines - polling shows that something like 90% of Americans think we should be doing more to protect the environment.

Prager stepped right into a big pile of dog-doo when he said, dismissively, no less, that the National Review questions global warming while the rest of the media doesn’t.  It provided a perfect opportunity for me to highlight the fact that the National Review is staffed by elite conservatives that know who butters their bread - that the National Review loses money every year and only survives because it is funded by big business.

There was more after that…  Enjoy.

Good job Mike. At the end of Round One Prager went to his stool and his cut man was kept very busy. Hopefully Prager someday answers the bell for Round 2.

Good work, Mike. Praeger is just wierd, a religious conservative like you say. Maybe not even a “bad” person, but someone who has fully imbibed the ThinkTank spawned anti-liberal conservative Koolaid.

YOu really did get in a great moment decrying the “loss-leader” media outlets for right wing propaganda.

    Great call.

i thought the democratic party was the “party of death”?

Of course we have to make a choice, fight terrorism or fight global warming? That’s the only choice.

“I countered that by suggesting he go to any college republican meeting, ask the kids who think this war is their generation’s greatest moral calling to enlist, and then watch them piddle themselves.”

You’re the fact guy, is that a fact? That’s like some movie line:

Napoleon Dynamite: This is pretty much the worst video ever made.
Kip: Napoleon, like anyone can even know that.

Mike, you’re a smart guy…tell people what you know, not what you guess or suggest. Thats all opinion, zero fact, and just turns into an argument. You would be ten times better if you countered with something substantive. Like:
“Prager saying that one of the reasons libs fear global warming is that we are more afraid of death than conservatives are.”

Then you “Prager, like anyone can even know that…get back to some reasonable points that can be exmained.”

    Pete
