Untold millions spent on rehabing the AE Smith building over 7 years yet one block away from this building where tens of thousands of people mearby work daily, privately owned buildings sit boarded up and decaying. NY has suffered through decades of purple leadership to the benefit of red states who know how to roll out the red carpet. When I lived in Savannah, GA I paid less than $2k/year in property taxes. Here, for the same value house, $6k. And I'm supposed to be impressed that the pols have duked it out late this session to give me a $300 rebate check later this year?!
