Dem leaders that need to go and soon:

CLINTON
Schumer
Biden
Kerry
Edwards
Feinstein

You want to know why Dems have been losers for the past decade? That list is your answer. Daschle got his, but for the wrong reasons and to the wrong people, but there has to be some sort of filtering mechanism that can rid us of these corporatized robots.

I would say "any who voted for the Iraq war" also has to go, but that would be most Dems in congress. Not that they shouldn't actually go, but I think most of them were just followers. If the leaders go, them maybe the followers would change course.

These guys should get more attention and praise than they ever get:

Feingold
Levin
Durbin
Boxer
and ok, Kennedy

Either the guy is a Democrat or Republican, you can't have it both ways and that is what done Joe in, trying to play the field so to speak. I agree that he needs replaced with a progressive stand up and take your hit guys, we have enough softees in Washington as it is now caving in to every liberty being ripped from the American people.
The Democrats have a much harder time because they have a lot of people who really "think" about the issues and have different opinions, where the "extreme right" blindly follow without question no matter where it should lead them.
The Dems have to come up with something the whole party agrees with and that will be hard the Repugs on the other hand have the extreme right and the rest of the party fall in line with that no matter if it's right or wrong. But on replacing Joe I believe that is a good idea and would wish Lamont the best of luck.

your update is right on. internet and blogs are just a tool, not a substitute for the real grassroots efforts.

I think the campaign to replace Lieberman with a real progressive is awesome. This is how democracy is supposed to work, and we often forget that. I'm tired of seeing pussy Dems on TV not standing up and calling the Repubs out. There could be a big sea of change of the establishment in Washington realises they better stand up.
