Very Nice job Mike! Darth Zinn said the same thing I was thinking. If this was about keeping the power the Dem's have (What power would that be??? ), why would they be pushing for a primary challenge of a 3 term incumbent Senator? Seniority wise, even if you defeat the incumbent in the primary, and win the general, you now have a Senator with no seniority. Clearly the person seeking to hold power is Lieberman. Why else would he collect signatures to be on the ballot as an independent, in case he loses the Democratic primary?
If that isn't a sign of someone doing everything he can to hold power, I don't know what iS.

The co-host chimes in after your call to say that this Lamont challenge is fueled by the left's lust for power. It's Lieberman's threat to run as an independant that's the real power grab here. Settling for Lieberman, Zell Miller types just sets us up for "straight from the donkey's mouth" trash talking on Fox News.
And I'm sure the AFL/CIO will come around to Lamont if elected just as I'm sure he'd reach out to them.
