Zack,

What's your theory about feinstein? Hillary? schumer? the other 25 that didn't vote for Kerry's "get out soon" amendment? There are a lot of Senators from deep blue states that are still afraid to do the right thing where Iraq is concerned... if it was just the war, you'd be seeing a lot more "liberal bloggers" going after a lot more incumbent democrats...

They don't go after Nelson because, frankly, his act plays pretty well in Nebraska. Yes, he's a pretty conservative democrat, but I think they'd rather stay with him than try and knock him off with a more liberal Dem that might get crushed in the general election. In Connecticut they feel like they've got more of a chance of taking the seat with a liberal Dem.

I think the only reason these guys love Lieberman is because he shiats all over Dems. That's why they loved Zell Miller. They love it because it 'shows' that the Dem Party as a whole is anti-american and some of its ranks can't stand it anymore and must defect. And for some reason ($?) Lieberman and Miller get all huggy with these Republican pundits. I can't make sense of it. What's the motivation for Liberman and Miller to do this?
