More Hannity blogger demonization
Published by Mike Stark July 14th, 2006 in UncategorizedThis one’s a little old - I saved the audio because I’ve been in touch with Ari Melber on more than one occasion. He’ll be writing something about the trend of the right-wing shock troops towards demonizing the net-roots and bloggers.
It’s really pretty amazing to me because the idea that we are a bunch of kooks is laughable on its face. Blogs aren’t sexy. Sorry to be the one to point this out, but they are actually pretty geeky. We’re the same people you would have seen at the independent bookstore reading “Journal of Foreign Affairs” or Robert Cato’s books. The difference between then and now is that we can read and comment on events in real time. All of a sudden, the geek in us was given an exciting new outlet.
So they can call us geeks of they want… But kooks? Nah, we’re some of the most well-informed and knowledgable people in the country. We’re affluent and a large percentage of us are “influentials” - people that take leadership positions in our communities and act to shape public opinion…
So the right-wing radio hosts whose job it is to keep the sheeple placid… well, they are worried. Very worried.

Actually, there are quite a number of real, live attorneys doing Democratic blogs. Of course, virtually all the Watergate gang were lawyers, as are most of our Congress. Don’t forget how many scrapes the present administration has gotten into becaused their legal team has parsed the rules literally to death. And then there’s attorney Coulter…
I like how Hannity considers the Senators who come out and say they’ll support the winner of the Democratic primary to be “trash-talking” and “sabotaging”. Obviously the democratic process isn’t good enough for Lieberman, and his buddy Hannity.
it wierd how hannity considers every famous senate democrate a part of the “hard left”-especially hilary
Isaac,
That’s not so hard to believe. Under the right conditions, I bet Hannity would throw Leiberman under the “far-left bus” to suit his needs. It’s a typical ploy. If you make the most moderate of your enemy seem the most fanatical, then anyone to the left of that person must be really crazy. They are just tying to shift the spectrum to suit their needs. It’s sad that they do this, even sadder that sheeple fall for it.
