Under the right conditions, I bet Hannity would throw Leiberman under the "far-left bus" to suit his needs. It's a typical ploy. If you make the most moderate of your enemy seem the most fanatical, then anyone to the left of that person must be really crazy. They are just tying to shift the spectrum to suit their needs.
