Oh wait - I do…
I’ve been invited to speak at Camp Democracy in DC. I’ll head out the the weekend of September 9-11 and present at least once… Not sure if I’m gonna do a workshop or a “motivational” style speech, but I’ll be there. I’ll fill you in on details as they develop.

On the way back from the Cape today I listened to a few minutes of Sean Hannity. He had Ann Coulter on….”What part of the fight on terror do the Democrates support” and a Democratic spokesman, I did not catch the name. Ann was on a loud clear FM connection and the poor “LIBERAL” on a tinny phone line.
They beat him up and he never could get his points out.. It was like a gang fight with Hannity asking insane yes or no questions. I could not take more than 5 minutes of this nonsense. ANN COULTER IS THE VOICE OF THE REPUBLICANS.
It is hard to believe that the radio station which I admired, WGY, has been taken over by this nonsense. I also caught a little of el Rusho; the man is a bigot. Those drugs must have destroyed his thinking process.
Thank God for my IPOD and web streaming of programing which is not right wing corporate propaganda.
Hope you get Webb elected down there.

It would be nice if someone could step up and carry on the great work Mike has done. I often work 12-14 hours a day but always like checking out this site when I get home. I listen to Hannity for a few minutes in my car most afternoons and it is way less interesting when every caller he gets is some brainwashed right wingnut that kisses his ass. If anyone has some free time ……. please pick up this cross.

Our local talk radio station, the only one that comes in on the AM dial (a FOX station) has a couple local guys speaking about local things till 9:00AM.
Then the fun begins.
9:00AM to 11:00AM - Glen Beck (wingnut)
11:00AM to 2:00PM - Rush Limbaugh
2:00PM to 4:00PM - Sean Hannity
4:00 to 6:00PM (another couple of local guys)
6:00PM to ?? - Michael Savage
What an absolute joke. It’s impossible to pick up the Air America broadcast unless you live no father than 20 miles outside of Chicago, which I dont.
So it’s wingnut central for the one and only talk radio station.
I don’t live in a big city and it’s in Iowa so looking at the posts above (Coulter and hannity beating up on someone - and I can only fucking imagine how infuriating that was-) and the schedule listed; Yea, the liberal media is in full swing huh? What a goddam joke!
I’m pessimistic …. BUT if the Dems could win back the Senate or House (BOTH !) How great would it be to hear all these whack jobs - Hannity, Savage, Beck, Limbaugh etc. going nuts over the end of the world. I truly don’t understand how people listen to these wingnuts and buy into the snake oil they sell.

I really miss hearing you on the radio, and reading your views on politicians and the media.
I hope you got to see Hannity and Colmes tonight (Thursday). Ann Coulter got her ass handed to her by Kirsten Powers (sitting in for Colmes). You can check out the video on Crooksandliars.com/ . It should really be a bit longer so you could see the end of the segment, when You would normally see all the guests, they just go to Hannity to wrap it up, because Coulter has Cut and Run.

The Hannity/Colmes video where Coulter got bitch-slapped was indeed priceless! First time I’ve ever seen her in a meltdown…add poor Kirsten Powers to Coulter’s Enemies List. After Coulter readjusts her jockstrap, we’ll no doubt hear what an unpatriotic commie Powers is.
