Another splendid example of extreme cowardice
Published by Mike Stark January 4th, 2007 in UncategorizedOK, so this is the set up.
I watched Tucker Carlson earlier today. He led off his show talking with Bill Press. Of all the topics he wanted to talk about, he chose an in depth discussion of why it was significant that Nancy Pelosi was the first woman in the history of the United States to be second in line to the Presidency. The hapless Bill Press floundered and sputtered…
I sat there thinking to myself how tragically funny it would be if maroons like Carlson and Press could be transported back in time to 1947 where we could watch them twist in the wind as they strove to come up with adequate justifications for making a big deal out of Jackie Robinson’s baseball debut. After all, it was only baseball… it wasn’t even the Congress or anything “important”… ugh…
so tonight I was flipping around on the dial and I came across Rusty Humphries’ radio show. If you ever get the chance, have a listen - but just one. (It’s worth listening to just for his theme song. He’s a fat as hell Rush Limbaugh clone that says in his theme song that he instills fear into terrorists everywhere… I’m not kidding. Look him up - it’s good for a hoot. His appearance is a caricature of the caricature that is the logo of this page…)
So this is how the sequence goes. You call in. The producer asks your name, where you are calling from and what you want to talk about. Humphries had just goten finished mocking Pelosi’s status as first woman to ever lead the chamber. As you’ll here, he used the words “Big deal!” So I told the producer that I was Ken from Kansas City and that it was a big deal in the same way it was a big deal when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball.
All the while, Rusty was broadcasting his hate speech against Nancy Pelosi with the song “I am woman, hear me roar” playing in the background. Eventually he went to commercial.
During commercial break, I’m assuming Rusty took a look at his “board” (that’s his line-up of callers and the topics they want to talk about) and prepared for the next segment. What you hear in the clip is the most amazingly quick about face I’ve ever heard from a wingnut. He spun himself right around. By the time he got to me (I was the third caller), he had completed his 180 and was singing the praises of how wonderful it is that we have a woman speaker. He completely abandoned his own beliefs and took all the power out of my argument by pretending to agree with what I was going to say. His coup de grace? He cut me off before I could make my Jackie Robinson comparison…

Another splendid example of extreme cowardice is how you removed two of my posts on your “Thank God for good people” when I causght you trying to pull the same prank on the Mark Levin show.
Andy:
Fairly certain, nay, 100% certain - that you are wrong. I’ve not once called Mark Levin. The only posts I’ve ever removed were outright calls for violence, racist or anti-semitic. A quick perusal through any of my threads will show that I’ve always believed that if I’m going to go looking for a fight, it wouldn’t be fair for me to handcuff my opponents. (You might want to compare that policy to the policies held by your right-wing blogs). God, it must drive you wingnuts crazy thinking about how liberals are just better people than you are. You really have my sympathies. It must suck to suck.
Mike,
Fairly certain, nay, 100% certain - that you are lying. I never wrote anything that called for violence, was racist or anti-Semitic. Why don’t you put my removed posts back up so others can see what the truth really is? I’m not going to get caught in your bait. In a way you bait it is just like your call to the guy who was substituting for Mark Levin. If it wasn’t your call, why did you remove the post?
So now he didn’t call Levin, it was a substitute host??? Can you make up your mind.
It does seem more reasonable though , especially if the Sub was Wilkow. Stark vs Wilkow, that is a mis-match. Did you listen to the “what would you save in a fire” call? That is the ultimate in host melt downs.

Andy,
Excuse my interruption, but I have been posting here for quite a while and I have to say that Mike CLEARLY does not redact posts unless they are patently offensive, as you would understand if you took even the briefest look at comments in the other sections.
I have a firm belief that if your posts were redacted, whatever you had to say MUST have crossed a substantial line to be edited or redacted by Mike in any form, and I, as well as the majority of other posters here trust Mike’s judgement in matters of this sort. After all, Mike Stark pays the bills hereand this little speck of the web is his world, we only visit it.
Until the banner says “ANDY FROM BEAVERTON’S CALLING ALL WINGNUTS, I suggest you either stop commisurating, or call a friggin’ WAAAAAmbulance.
Regardless, if whatever you had to spout was that important to you, I am sure there are places where people who think and act like you would not take offense, and your ideas, as well as your method of expression are sure to be more welcome there than here. I suggest you GO there…and on your way, ask yourself one question….”Why are you being such an asshole?”
BTW, Andy,
Mark Levin is nothing but a snivelly little neo-con pussy with his head planted so far up up Sean Vannity’s Ass that you can catch a glimpse of his bald spot every time Sean yawns.
Levin has a face made for radio, and a voice perfect for silent movies. I listened to his drivel for two minutes once, and the sound of his voice made be dive for the Excedrin and earplugs.
Given the choice, I’d rather listen to a three-hour long podcast of a dentist giving Fran Drescher a root canal sans anesthesia than listen to his whiney cadence ever again….It left me wondering if it was he who provided the voiceover for the alien invaders in the Tim Burton Movie “MarsAttacks!”.
Only a hopeless idiot would listen to anything that comes out of that silly little cabinboy’s shrill soprano pie-hole. It speaks volumes about your character, son.
Mike,
If you “are the champion of the first amendment” as you said on CNN, why don’t you post the unaltered logs to this blog? That way everyone can see how you have removed posts in the past. It looks like it might be too late for you to tell the truth now.
