John Gibson is a blow-dried girly-man…

He talks tough, but he’s chickenshit - and a chicken hawk.

He was berating anti-war folks for cheering on the new Democratic legislation that reflects the will (by a 2 to 1 margin) of the American people. Michael Ware, one of the best reporters in Iraq, recently said that if we leave Iraq, we leave it to Al Qaeda and Iran… At the same time, he’s consistently said that what we are doing isn’t even close to working. The surge is a joke.

So… Gibson was playing Ware’s most recent comments for all they were worth, but not recognizing that those comments aren’t inconsistent with Ware’s earlier comments. In other words, everything Ware has said - that we are losing the war and that if we leave, we’ll leave Iraq in bad shape - can be true at the same time. If that’s the case, the only solution is dumping 5-600,000 troops into the country and developing some kind of expensive Iraqi Marshall Plan… This approach would necessitate a draft.

So I called to tell him he’s a chickenhawk and he even lacks the courage to call for what it takes to win the war. Then things got fun… listen…

the wingnuts know that a draft would end this war, because all the kids who are now on the sidelines cheering it on, are all yellow bastards who will join in the protests the second the draft is reinstituted

but no matter what, either a draft or national service, or both, need to be instituted in this country

we need to instill in everyone a feeling of responsiblity to the country…it is time

Wow! That “Professional Military” is really doing a bang up job in Iraq - and Afghanistan! But maybe professionalism has nothing to do with - maybe just having all those traitorous chickenhawks in the Bushevik Administration is the major problem — John Gibson, a gutless, spineless candy ass who never served - par for the course…..

Gibson says this as though Marines are more proud of him for never wearing the globe and anchor. I doubt this guy has ever been in a fist fight in his life, so talking tough without a resume to back it up is gutless nonsense.

I’m curious as to why the talk radio hacks haven’t gone after Pat Tillman’s mother and Kevin Tillman? I thought for sure the O’Reilly types would give them the Cindy Sheehan treatment.

Ray- First of all he pointed out that Gibson was only telling half the truth about Ware’s opinion. Secondly, he caused Gibson to show himself as the complete buffoon that he is. “Hippie”, “Berkeley”, “soy milk”. Wow. so original, huh?

I just found your site. And thank you, from a military family. Yes a draft would end the war overnight-a war that should have never begun.

The doofus you called fails to recognize the “professional fighting force” is 52% PT Guard and reserve soldiers.

I love how chickenhawks claim to speak for the military, yet I talk to more military than they ever will!
